What to expect from your
Nutritional Therapy Consultation
Your Nutritional Therapy consultations will be tailored to your individual requirements. All clients will require an initial consultation to identify a treatment plan and at least one follow up consultation approximately 6 weeks later.
Consultations can be conducted either online, or in person at Retreat Broxburn Day Spa.
Initial Consultation (approx 90 minutes)
Prior to initial consultation you will be asked to complete a health questionnaire and record a diet diary for approx 5 days. During your initial consultation, Jennifer will take a detailed health history and discuss your treatment aims. Your comprehensive nutrition assessment will allow for identification of any possible nutrient deficiencies and system imbalances and will inform the formation of a personalised nutrition plan.
Jennifer will provide advice on nutritional and lifestyle changes that will help you to achieve your treatment aims. Your initial consultation includes:
-
Individual nutritional assessment
-
Blood pressure (if appropriate)

Body measurement, weight, BMI, (if requested)

Follow Up Consultation (approx 45 minutes)
Follow up consultations are an important part of your nutritional treatment plan and will normally be scheduled every 4-6 weeks after initial consultation. They allow your therapist to re-assess nutrient status, explain and advise from any diagnostic test results and discuss progress towards treatment goals. It is likely that your treatment plan/prescription will be adapted in line with the above and support given as detailed for initial consultation.
Many positive results can be achieved quickly with Nutritional Therapy, however, rate of progress is dependent upon individual case history and treatment aims. It is likely that your health condition didn't materialise overnight, so 'quick fixes' should not be expected (or trusted!) Your body will need time to adjust to changes and become balanced. It is important that you continue consultation with your Nutritional Therapist in order to monitor/support these changes and achieve your treatment goals.
